Researching the early stages of the chandelier winch

There are jillions of different Winches available on the market place. Some say that winches are not of interest and not worth reading about. Yet that isn't correct. Winches are in a wide arrangement of shapes and sizes. So I believe it would be easiest if you read on.

The chandelier winches from ancient Greek periods

Used first by the Ancient Greeks in an old form. A rope was simply attached to a cart. This cart was of course pulled by a horse. There has also a horse pulling the rope from the side, practically making the rope less long as the main horse pulled it. More probable than not the Ancient Greeks made and used more advanced pre-winches but excavation takes time and they may of been annihilate. Either way we have not found evidence for them if they existed. We have definately not found any evidence for chandelier winches, but who knows if they had chandelier winches or not.
This sub-winch was used for a long while but there were others. Also acquired was basically a rope on a huge hollow wheel. This was also on a strong roman cart for transportation. A end of the rope would be attached to the enormous hollow wheel The other end to the object you wanted to move. Some people would, like giant hamsters in a wheel, walk in the giant wheel. This in turn would turn the wheel, pulling the rope around the wheel, moving the object towards the cart which the wheel was on! Yet this winch although being more advanced then the last example needed a reasonably large and strong cart to carry it so its uses were fewer than the last example. Like for the Greek times, we have not found evidence for Roman chandelier winches.

Now to look at the modern-day winch, often used for cars. You can get 2 types of car winch, sturdy ones that rely on the cars movement or the other kind, which whilst not so strong also have an ability to help pull. For 4X4s which can get a good grip on most terrain, and have a fair amountof torque and horsepower I would suggestthe winch which can't change length. The other type is better for other cars, but I good handbrake and lot of weight is necessary or the car itself shall move! Another advantage to a winch with a mechanism is that if necessary you can attach it to any object around! If there are not any objects around there are extra special ones which attach to the ground.

The more modern times with the chandelier winch

Now onto winches for lighting; mostly chandeliers. There are such things as chandelier winches. You may be one of the people who knows about chandelier winches. You may have one on your chandelier, but I believe it isn't in the know for chandelier owners. This is shocking because a chandelier winch makes cleaning, replacing bulbs and generally maintaining a chandelier a lot easier. Another benefit is that there is a risk of damage every time you take a chandelier down and using a chandelier winch minimises this risk! chandelier winches therefore not only make it easier taking chandeliers but make it more risk-free taking one down! Okay, so we have talked about prehistoric winches, car winches and lighting winches not onto the winches of the future!

All winches of the future will not be connected by chain or wire or any other. They will hang the chandelier in mid-air, and the movement shall be not only up and down, but left, right, forwards and backwards in a controlled way. Achieving this could possibly be done via magnetism. The magnet holding up the chandelier would change in strength and move around to make the chandelier move around. We may also be able to achieve this with anti-gravity but this is peering into the future. We'll be using current models or car and chandelier winches for plenty of time.
